Crystal Helm is a wife and stay at home mom of four. Her favorite subjects to photography are her husband and children. Mrs. Helm's interest in photography began as a child taking photographs of her Barbie dolls and chasing the animals around the house in an effort to capture them in action on film. In high school, she took photo journalism class and loved it. She was yearbook photographer for two years and enjoyed the challenges of shooting sports and candid shots.
Crystal attended and graduated
Cum Laude from
Texas Tech University. While there she took courses in all areas of Mass
Communications, including
several classes in photography before
switching majors. Mrs. Helm had the unique opportunity to spend nine
months in Europe working with youth in a church and in school after her graduation from Tech.
While in Europe, she was able to travel through Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, Holland, Austria, and Italy. She enjoys traveling with her family and always has a camera along for the trip. Living in West Texas offers opportunities as well as to photograph unique landscapes, wild animals and beautiful wild flowers. She feels that getting a really good picture is a great challenge and keeps her looking for opportunities to capture God's creations.
